The Perth United Malayalee Association (PUMA) held its third Star Singer and Dance Festival at a sold out Kennedy Baptist Auditorium in Murdoch, Western Australia on Saturday 27 July 2024.

Close to 4,000 people witnessed local and international artists in the biggest South Indian festival in Australia. Talented performers from PUMA’s Academy showcased their skills alongside celebrity artists from Kerala with unforgettable performances.

This extraordinary and eagerly anticipated event was jam-packed with music and mesmerising dance moves. International and local contestants competed across sub junior, junior and senior categories for 24 prizes.

With two of our three co-founders, Affy Bhatti and Omair Chodhry coming from the subcontinent, Bless Payments was a proud sponsor of this event and awarded prizes and certificates on the night.

The PUMA is a cultural organisation formed in 2013 by the Malayalee community living in Perth and in the surrounding areas of Western Australia. The association is a non-profitable, non-political and non-religious organisation with the primary objective of holding cultural, social and charitable events and activities.

In 2021 PUMA was awarded the Indian Society of Western Australia (ISWA) cultural excellence award amongst 70+ Indian organisations in Perth.
